Talawa Admin UI Redesign

GSoC 2023 redesign of the Talawa Admin UI for The Palisadoes Foundation. Designed the full vision in Figma during the proposal, then shipped the redesign incrementally.
Talawa Admin UI Redesign was my Google Summer of Code 2023 project with The Palisadoes Foundation, mentored by Anwer Sayeed, Muskan Modi, and Peter Harrison. A redesign needs a clear vision for how the UI should look afterwards, and I had that. I made a Figma prototype of the redesigned interface during the proposal period, and completed the entire redesign by the end of the GSoC period.
The existing Talawa Admin design was not intuitive enough, and many buttons were unused with no indication that they were disabled. The goal was a UI built around the users' perspective, with these considerations:
- Deployment was incremental, one screen at a time, with all tests passing on every change.
- Layouts were built as standardized, modular templates for other members to reuse when implementing features.
- The design is reactive, adjusting across desktop, laptop, tablet, and phone.
- Changes shipped weekly, with the community kept aware so they could add functionality.
- Planned but unbuilt features got greyed out placeholder links as a reminder to implement them.
